Southwest Airlines

I have had the wonderful opportunity to produce work for Southwest Airlines over the past several years. The corporate culture at this company is unlike anything I have ever seen. The employee working environment lens itself to a lot of celebration and recognition in-between the dedicated work going on at the corporate head office in Dallas. Here are some of the fun projects I got to produce for the various events going on at SWA.

Lost Bag Tag - Houston Station

I was asked to design a postcard that would be used in the Southwest Houston station. The idea was this, if you were traveling to Houston and your bag was temporarily misplaced the agent that would eventually return your bag would include this card as an apology. Since this was for Houston specifically I included the Lone Star One plane.

Employee Magazine, LUV Lines, Article Illustrations

Southwest puts out a quarterly print magazine for their employees an I was asked to provide some illustrations for an article on the difficulties of remaining calm and polite in stressful situations while working with the customers and passengers. These are the illustrations from the article.

Employee Chili Cook-off

Every year the employees at the SWA corporate headquarters have a chili cooking competition. I’ve been involved with helping the teams in the Technology department design logos and characters for posters and teeshirts for the event. Here are a few.

Technology Quality Management Office - QMO

The QMO is the part of the Technology department that provides all sorts of software testing and quality management before things get deployed out for public use. They’ve had me create logos for banners during a charity golf tournament, design a logo for stickers to be used on their laptop and character some of their Test Automation employees. Here are some various images I’ve created for the QMO.
